Overview
Trimedic does not promote the supply, production and or utilization of illegal controlled substances. This test kit is strictly intended to aid harm reduction strategies. We strongly recommend that you refer to your regional public health agency or local harm reduction centre for advice.
The test strips are a low-cost method of aiding harm reduction efforts. The TriDx – FASTEP test strips are a lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay. The technology is designed for the qualitative detection of substances in human urine and or liquid/powder specimen.
The result of the test kit are interpreted as as either positive (one line), negative (two lines) or invalid (no lines or no control line).

Navigating Test Ambiguities and Limitations
Please note that a negative result does not conclusively indicate that there is no substance present in the sample. There can be multiple factors including the following:
The concentration level of the substance is below the detection level of the test.
There was a procedural error when conducting the tests
Due to the presence of multiple substances in the sample, the test could yield false negative result.
A negative test results is not an indication that a given substance is safe to consume. It is well established that multiple reasons can impact a result. For example, type of substance, multiple mixtures of substances, pH etc).
It should be noted that a positive result for fentanyl and or xylazine only indicates the presence of those substance, it does not have the ability to quantify the amount of substance.
